Song’s Next PS4 and PS5 system update will bring a bunch of new features to personalize your console experience. The new feature will allow you to control your console by doing things just by voice commands.
The voice command feature is starting for English speaking beta users in UK and US initially. Users can use this voice command feature to open games or open an App, by just saying the phrase “Hey PlayStation“.
In addition to the feature, you can control media playback – Pause or play music, move next or previous. The update will bring the audio feature, the one includes enabling mono audio for headphones.
At the party of this mega update, sony also announced some other features coming with this update. The feature includes Group chat, they’ll known as parties. While starting a party you’ll have an option whether it is an open party or closed party. That simply means that the party is open to the public or that’s a private party. If an open party then your friends or the friends of your friend can see or join the party.
The company clarified that while selecting an open party only the beta version players of PS4 or PS5 can join the party. But that’s not the case while selecting a private or closed party.
Another feature in the new update is the PS5 UI features. This feature will allow you to filter your collection of games by genre. You can now place your favourite games or apps on your home screen. You have a limit by just placing a maximum of 5 games and apps on each home screen. A total of 14 games and apps on your home screen. Sony has also updated the visual design of trophy cards.
These featured updates are currently just for beta users in UK and US, Not for PS5 generally. But if you join as a beta user you can take a taste of these features. But Keep in mind that the feature is limited to US and UK users only. Don’t Worry according to sony “final system update will be available globally later this year”.
